Nothing says 'I love you' quite like a home-made treat; for human or for feline. So show muffy some love and give her a break from store-bought food with these irresistible, home-made, crunchy salmon cat treats!

*How fresh you go with this recipe is your call. You can always opt for freshly cooked salmon instead of canned*

1 can of pink salmon or tuna, no salt added, packed in water and drained

1 cup oat flour

1 large egg

2 tablespoons coconut oil

1 heaping tablespoon dried catnip

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a food processor, combine drained salmon or tuna, oat flour, egg, coconut oil and catnip. Pulse until mixture comes together (mixture should be thick and malleable, but not sticky). Roll dough into 1/2 teaspoon balls and place on a prepared cookie sheet. Lightly flatten the cookie balls. Bake cookies for 10 to 12 minutes until they are slightly browned. Allow to cool completely. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to seven days.
