Is Eating Organic Really More Time Consuming?


This is the second of the two top arguements I have enountered as for why eating Organic is impossible for so many people. The first prominent arguement is thag it is more expensive, which we examined recently. So now we will address if it is more time consuming to eat Organic.


I personally love cooking and eating from scratch. There is just something so enjoyable about eating something that takes a little more time and effort to make; it just seems to be more special, delicious and appreciated. But, as with so many other misconceptions, people tend to associated "Organic" with "From scratch".





As with all foods, the best nutrition is gleaned from the freshest dishes, however, there are plenty of Organic meals that are pre-made. For nearly every non-Organic pre-made meal you normally eat, there is a healthier, Organic, more natural alternative. Though still processed, they contain less artificial flavors, colors and additives than their counter-parts.


With a little planning and effort you can have healthy, Organic, delicious dishes all week with no additional time beyond normal. Consider using a weekend day to cook ahead, or chop and prep vegetables and ingredients if you run short on time. But the bottom line is...don't knock it 'til you try it!
